Innovation, Visibility, and the Future of Cable: Highlights from SCTE TechExpo25

SCTE TechExpo25 brought together the brightest minds in broadband and telecommunications to explore the future of connectivity. From artificial intelligence (AI)-driven automation to next-gen network architectures, the show floor buzzed with innovation, and NETSCOUT was right at the center of it all.
At this year’s expo, NETSCOUT showcased how our patented Adaptive Service Intelligence (ASI) technology is helping cable operators transform their networks with real-time, end-to-end visibility. As the industry accelerates toward distributed access architectures (DAAs), virtualization, and DOCSIS 4.0, NETSCOUT’s solutions are enabling operators to maintain service quality, reduce mean time to repair (MTTR), and move from proactively managing subscriber experience to predicting it.
Conversations That Matter: AI and Automation in Focus
Throughout the week, the NETSCOUT booth was a hub of activity. We spoke with many carriers and service providers who shared their strategic priorities for the coming year. A consistent theme emerged: AI and automation are central to their transformation plans. From streamlining operations to enhancing customer experience, carriers are looking to intelligent, automated solutions to drive efficiency and agility across their networks.
We also conducted a survey at the NETSCOUT booth, and the results were eye-opening. One of the most compelling findings: 74 percent of respondents said that deep packet inspection (DPI) data is critical to their observability strategy. This underscores the growing importance of granular, real-time insights in managing complex, hybrid environments. We’ll be sharing more detailed results from the survey in the coming weeks.
In addition to the survey and a lively booth presentation focused on delivering quality data for intelligent automation, we had the opportunity to speak with attendees looking to empower their NetOps, SecOps, and AIOps teams in the following areas:
- Uninterrupted service delivery
- Automatic discovery of virtual IPs (VIPs) and applications
- Actionable network data with closed-loop solutions
- Service-level agreement (SLA) management per slice, service, and subscriber
- Extended visibility into the edge for security
- AI/automation for high-value services
Looking ahead, as cable/MSO operators continue to evolve their networks to meet growing demand for high-speed, low-latency services, NETSCOUT remains committed to empowering them with the critical data needed for visibility and intelligence. SCTE TechExpo25 was a powerful reminder that the future of cable is bright, and NETSCOUT is helping light the way.
